Summer Glow in Winter

January 12, 2020

It’s finally that time of year where most of our summer tans have disappeared. Have no fear because a good self- tanner will help to have you glowy and bronze in no time. I love making sure I have a summer glow in winter. One of my absolute favorite self- tanners is by Loving Tan. Not only do they have natural products, but they also have a built in anti-orange so that your tan will never look like an umpa loompa.

I love all their products but my top two are the Ultra Dark Tanning Mouse and their Gradual Tan Lotion in medium/dark. They seriously help to keep my tan looking natural all year round. I also highly recommend trying out their own tanning mitt because it absolutely will make a difference in the look and duration of your tan. Using these products literally gives me such a natural, healthy glow in the winter when the sun is definitely not as strong. Now that you know my products, here’s my routine!

My Routine:

  1. About 1-2 days ahead of when you plan to tan, take a shower and shave your legs. I like to do this a day or two before I tan bc sometimes the tan gives me little hives with fresh legs.
  2. Right before you tan, take a shower and exfoliate your skin. I use an exfoliate glove in order to really get the dead skin off. Exfoliating is key to an even and long lasting tan.
  3. As soon as you get out of the shower, put whatever tan product you plan to use on a mitt and start working it into your skin in circular motions. Make sure you really blend the product in to make sure you don’t have streaks. I like to start at the bottom of my body with legs and work my way up.
  4. As soon as you’re done tanning, put on loose fitting close and plan to do a rinse in about 6-8 hours. (Sometimes I skip this step and just rinse at my next shower)
  5. For the week with your tan, don’t exfoliate in the shower and pat dry when you get out. This will help to preserve your tan.

With following this routine, I usually will be tan for a solid 5 days. On the 6th and 7th days my tan does start to fade so thats generally why I tan at least once a week and make sure that I follow all of these steps.

Now of course being tan all year round might not be everyone’s cup of tea. There is just something about being tan that makes me the happiest. Not only am I more confident in my own skin but I just have that summer vibe in the cold and dreary months of winter. Having the summer glow in winter really helps to keep me happy and motivated for summer. Recently, I just found a really great face oil that tans but I’ve only used it once. I’ll let you know if it works well in my January Favorites post!!

Moisturizers for Winter You Need

November 17, 2019

moisturizers for winter

If you live in the North East then you know that it’s way too cold for November. Now of course we’re supposed to start having colder weather but this is just way too soon. I’m not here for it. Just this past week we had wind chills in the single digits!! With the change in temperature brings changes in your skin and the need for moisturizers for winter. Most of our household heat sources cause our skin to be extremely dry and just being out in the cold leads to your skin just not being great. I’ve found that having thick moisturizers for winter are key to keep skin hydrated and looking great. Here are my top 3 for winter:

  1. Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream $60

This is actually a new favorite of mine. I only recently found this moisturizer but I absolutely love it. It definitely is very thick so I like to only use it at night when trying to really reset my skin but I wake up with a glowy, supple skin. It is pricy but a little truly goes a long way with this product. I highly recommend this moisturizer if you have really rough dry skin in the winter.

2. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer $27

This is my all time favorite go to moisturizer. I use this both in the summer and winter. It’s a really light moisturizer but it gets the job done. I like to use it in the morning for winter when I don’t want my face to feel so heavy with so many products. It definitely helps to make your skin look and feel different. It a real bang for you buck and lasts forever because you just need a dime size amount to moisturize your entire face!

3. Sephora All Day Hydrator $16

I wrote my Sephora Skin care review in June and I am still in love with this product. It is very light similar to the Clinique but it does keep my skin feeling hydrated all day which is what the product claims to do. It’s so inexpensive that I highly suggest you just try it out and see how you feel about it becau nse it is really great. I find myself wanting it to be a bit thicker when I put it on but it is a great morning product! Shop here!

moisturizers for winter

Whether you try them all or just one, remember that moisturizers are the key to keeping your skin healthy for winter. Maintaining moisture is essential in the dry months of winter so finding your go to moisturizers for winter are essential. Skin care needs to be an all year round process, especially during the winter so be sure to love your skin a little extra in those months!

I hope this is helpful when trying to navigate the crazy world of skin care products. There are so many great products but these are all my top go to products. Stay hydrated and warm this winter!

My October Favorites

October 30, 2019

I cannot believe that October is practically over as I write this. October was such a fun first month with Sky but was also a month where I found a lot of my new favorite things! I’ve put together my list of October favorites that you totally need to try in November!

Clinque Extra Gentle Cleansing Foam

october favorites

If you read my skincare routine, then you know that I am obsessed with my Clinique face wash. I recently stumbled across this new version with foam and I fell in love. I feel like it does such a better job of cleaning my face. I love to use this with my face brush and I swear that my face is so smooth every time.

Yogi Detox Tea

october favorites

I’ve recently been more into having tea before bed because it is getting so cold. I love this detox tea because I feel like it helps me digest all the food I’ve eaten during the day and I often wake up not bloated. I know some detox teas do a number on your stomach, but this one doesn’t seem to do anything crazy to me except make me less bloated.

Wild Fable Puffer Jacket

october favorites

Okay, I know that I just uploaded my favorite fall jackets post, but I didn’t have this amazing one yet. Target seriously does it again with this one. This jacket was only $30 and is so trendy and cute. It’s the perfect mix between comfy puffer and boxy cute jacket. For the price, run don’t walk to Target for this one!!

Good and Gather Snacks

october favorites

I am obsessed with Target’s new healthy line of food. Good and Gather from Target is all organic and is seriously so yummy. The apple cinnamon bars remind me of a fig newton but like with apple pie filling. I also think these Lemon Bars are so yummy and might be even better than Rx bars. These bars were definitely cheaper and their whole line is worth checking out.

Purple Halloween Lights

october favorites

These lights added a fun glow to my room for all of those October nights watching a Halloween movie. I actually think I might leave them up at least until before Christmas because I love these. I wanted to include them here because they might go on sale after Halloween!

Selena Gomez’s New Music

This is a more recent favorite but I am absolutely obsessed with Selena’s new songs. I’ve been listening to them non-stop. Younger me is living for the Bieber Gomez drama and the fact that she dropped some awesome songs about it just makes it even better. Follow me here on Apple Music!

Thanks for reading my October favorites. October was such a fun month and I am literally obsessed with all of these awesome products that I have tried. Let me know in the comments below what your October favorites were or if you’ve tried any of mine!

Fall Foundations I Can’t Live Without

October 20, 2019

fall foundations

Something I rarely talk about here on the blog is makeup. I definitely don’t wear it that often but I find myself in the winter putting it on more often. I self-tan a lot over the winter and I also just feel like no matter what you do, your skin is just duller in the winter. Although I am wearing foundation, I make sure it’s still clean and not too heavy. There is literally nothing I hate more then a thick and cakey foundation that you’ll wear on your skin all day. Most of my favorite foundations are actually CC creams or tinted moisturizers because they provide coverage but they’re not too heavy. Choosing your fall foundations might be hard but it’s so important to set your skin up for success in the winter.

It Cosmetics CC Cream

This seriously is my go to winter foundation. It helps to keep my skin moisturized in the winter months and gives me some coverage to help with the dullness in my skin. Buyers beware though, the shade range is very little. I wear Light but honestly it only looks great when I’m self tanned. I like to apply this with a beauty blender because I feel like it helps to blend it out much easier.

Tarte Amazonian Clay

Don’t be afraid of this foundations because it may look like full coverage. I find that if I use a little bit, it not only covers but its also not cakey at all. This foundation is seriously one of my favorites of all time because it’s create in the summer and winter. It’s super moisturizing for those winter months which is something that I really like to have. If I’m using it in the summer, I just apply extra setting powder and I know I’m good for the day. Highly suggest trying this one out and this has a much wider shade range. I also like to apply this with a beauty blender.

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue

Bare Minerals is definitely stepping up their game and coming into modern times. I used to use Bare when I was in middle school and needed something for my sensitive skin. Now I like Bare minerals because of how light coverage this foundation is. I really think that this is merely a tinted moisturizer but it is so great. It’s not heavy on my skin at all and it feels like its barely there. This product is also awesome because it comes in a gel formula and also a face stick. Seriously an amazing product and definitely a go to for a fall foundations.

As you can tell, my reoccuring theme is that I do not like heavy coverage foundations. If I’m going to wear makeup, I want something that’s barely there and these are definitely my top three. Fall foundations are so important because as the air gets cooler, your skin starts to need more moisture. By choosing a lighter, more moisturizing fall foundation, you’re sure to keep your skin happy and healthy all winter long!

Body Positivity + Self Love is Different for Everyone

August 17, 2019

Before I had even started my blog, I already had a million and one topics together that I wanted to write about. I wanted a place to share my experiences and hopefully inspire others to start living a life that they absolutely love. My blog has turned into an amazing platform for me to do that but I still haven’t even begun to discuss the topics I am most passionate about. One of those topics is body positivity and self-love.

I never want people to think of self-love and body positivity as an end goal that once you reach it, you don’t have to keep working for it. It’s not like that at all and if you neglect it, it’s only going to turn into a cycle of self-love and self-hate and that’s not something you need to be in the center of. I also want to stress that body positivity means that you love yourself the exact way that you are but that you also love everyone else for who they are regardless of their size, gender, sexual orientation or race. It’s 2019 and we all need to be inclusive and start acting with kindness towards one another and also remember that Instagram isn’t always the full story.

From the outside looking in, a simple scroll through my Instagram feed could tell you that I love the way I look. I’m constantly posting bikini pictures or revealing pictures that put my body on full display. I’ve always been told by boys, and even girls, that I have a great body and I have no reason to ever feel bad about myself. While this could be true, I had been constantly battling with my image for awhile until I just decided, it’s not worth it to constantly put yourself down.

For a little backstory, I went to a private Catholic School for most of my life. I transitioned to public school my freshman year of high school and that’s really where my perception of confidence and image got distorted. High school is already difficult enough but starting a new school with no friends was challenging. I had to navigate through high school with people that were really new to me as opposed to having the people that I had spent my entire life with. Not to mention, I went from wearing a bulky sweater, long plaid skirt, and knee high schools to whatever I wanted to wear everyday. I can remember thinking “Wow I look awful in this pair of jeans” or “I wish my stomach was just a little flatter to wear this crop top” but the people around me were always saying the opposite. It turned into this mess in my mind of what the heck do other people see that I’m just clearly not getting.

I worked out quite regularly from cheerleading and dancing, I ate super healthy and plant based-ish (I didn’t really eat meat but I don’t like to label myself), and I really did not drink or do anything too wild that would make me unhealthy but I constantly could just find something wrong with me. I always felt like no matter what I did I didn’t see results and just didn’t feel great about myself. It wasn’t until post high school when I wasn’t with the same people people everyday that I could finally start to see my worth and realize that image isn’t everything, regardless if being hot and skinny makes you feel more confident.

And while we’re on the topic of body confidence, let’s talk for a second. I have a love hate relationship with the concept of being confident. I think being confident is absolutely important and really can set the tone for how a person can act and interact with people. The problem that I have with confidence is where you get it. I could post a picture on Instagram, get 700 likes, and instantly feel great that people like me and that whatever picture I took looks great. Now, if that’s what you need to do to validate yourself then by all means do it but what happens when the numbers fall the next week and you get less likes or that Instagram shuts down and people don’t use it anymore? I also think confidence from other people is a tricky line because boys could tell you you’re hot one day and super ugly the next. You can’t rely on other people to feel good about yourself. You have to find a way to love yourself exactly how you are from within, not from anyone or anywhere else.

Once I started taking my own advice, I could feel a world of difference. I stopped placing my worth and value in other people and really focused on building myself up from the inside. As I write this now, I’ve never been happier with myself. It’s such a hard journey to take but it’s worth it knowing that you are content with who you are and how you look. For so long I listened to my friends say to me “You have no need to feel bad about yourself, so just stop”. Regardless of how everyone else thinks you look, the only person that matters is you.

And I think that’s really the message that I want to get across to you reading this. Body positivity and self love is so different for everyone and the journeys to get there could not be more different but that’s okay. This whole topics means something different for everyone. There’s no one size fits all in anything in life so you can’t think that you will be able to love yourself for the same reason that another person loves themself. You also can’t try to force someone to love themselves or else it will only be a quick fix. Stop comparing yourself to others because you need to live life on your own terms. The key in all of this is kindness. Remember to not only be kind to other people but also take the time to be kind to yourself.

20 Questions to Get to Know Me

July 21, 2019

You asked, so I answered! I recently asked on my Instagram story for you guys to ask me questions to get to know me better. Here are my answers to some of the juiciest questions you asked.

  1. How old are you?

I’m 21 years old and my birthday is on March 1st. I share the same birthday as Justin Bieber so I guess that makes me pretty cool.

2. What’s your college major?

I’m currently majoring in Political Science with a minor in Digital Analysis (Social Media). I was on a pre-law track but I just did not see myself being happy in law school or with the life that being a lawyer entails.

3. Where do you go to college?

So I actually take all of my classes online. I originally was at a University local to me and I commuted but the campus and the vibe just wasn’t for me. When I realized that I wanted to transfer, I looked into online school and fell in love with Arizona State’s programs so that is where I take classes. I LOVE online school.

4. What do you plan to do with your life?

Ideally, I would love to do social media management or consulting for other people or companies. I really am fascinated by how much social media can help people grow their companies and I would love to help others with what I’ve learned.

5. Do you have a job?

Currently, blogging is actually a part time job for me. I am working hard at it and being compensated for some of my posts/ Instagram posts so I do consider this a job. I also am a dance teacher at the dance school that I used to attend. I absolutely love teaching dance. It makes me so happy.

6. Why did you start your blog?

I reached a point in my life where I was planning on doing an internship but thought that it would be more beneficial to learn first hand what it would take to build a brand and an online presence. I literally have wanted to blog since high school but I always was so afraid of what others would have thought. I finally got the courage to start and I have loved it ever since.

7. Do you have an siblings?

Nope, I am an only child and I absolutely love it.

8. Do you have any pets?

No, I have only ever had fish. Stay tuned though because this is about to change. (:

9. What kind of music do you listen to?

Taylor Swift is my favorite artist but the music I listen to really depends on my mood. Some days I’m into rap and house music but other days I like country.

10. Fav TV shows?

I absolutely love Gossip Girl and the fact that it’s getting a reboot is amazing. I also love The Office, That 70s Show, and any Kardashian or Real House Wives series.

11. How do you edit/ take Instagram pictures?

So I was using a legit camera and lenses for awhile but I love a good iPhone picture. All of my Insta pics are taken now on an iPhone and I use Lightroom and Afterlight to edit. I used to use the same preset so that they all looked the same but sometimes I get super lazy and don’t care.

12. Tell us something no one knows about you.

I am a certified Scuba Diver. I got certified in like 7th grade.

13. What kind of workouts do you do?

Because I teach dance almost everyday, that’s my cardio which I do a lot of during the week. I also love going to yoga classes and pilates but thats my main workout source.

14. Any advice on starting a blog?

My biggest piece of advice is just to do it. I spent like 3 years contemplating it and now that I’ve started it, I absolutely love it and would never turn back.

15. What is a quote that you live by?

“She remembered who she was and the game changed.”

16. Where do you shop for clothes?

I love Target for basics. I do most of my other shopping at Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, Topshop, and Nasty Gal.

17. How do you always have it together?

When I read this, I LOL’d for real. I think this is such a problem with social media these days because sometimes you’re only seeing the version of a person they want you to see. I have a lot of times when I don’t have it together at all. Everyone is human and everyone has bad days and good days.

18. Extrovert or Introvert?

I am the biggest introvert I know. I thrive being on my own and alone for long periods of time. I do like to go out with friends but mostly I am all about staying in and recharging myself.

19. What’s your sign?

My sign is a Pisces. I definitely fit this sign so well, like seriously it’s me to a T.

20. How do you have so much confidence?

I think this is similar to my answer to #17. I have not always been confident, it’s definitely something that I have had to work on. I deal with anxiety and the idea that I’ll never be that great everyday. It took me so long to finally come to the realization that there’s no one else like me and comparing yourself to someone else doesn’t help. Once you learn to love yourself for your most purest self, the world just loves you back.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading some of the questions that you guys asked me! I always struggle with opening up but I think its so important for us to get to know each other better.

Be sure to follow me on Instagram so that you won’t miss out on asking me any questions! @cassiedenisco

Face Masks for Glowing Skin

July 14, 2019

My favorite part of a Sunday night is easily a face mask. I love resetting my skin with a face mask because they help to purify your skin and reveal your healthy, glowing skin. With so many face masks on the market these days, it’s easy to get overwhelmed when you walk into Sephora or Ulta to try to pick one out. I have tried so many types of face masks and products and these are my top 3 face mask brands for healthy, glowing skin.

GlamGlow:

I think the name says it all. I love these face masks because they are some of the best products I have ever tried. I love their Supermud mask because it really helps to clear up your skin. I like to leave it on for like 30 minutes and when you’re ready to take it off, you can start to see how it sinks into your pores and really helps to clean them out. Sometimes I’ll use the Supermud as a spot treatment as well because its really great at clearing up acne. GlamGlow masks are super expensive so I highly suggest you get the small sample kit, Glow Essentials Masks, so that you can try them out and see which mask you love the most.

Drunk Elephant:

I may sound like a broken record but Drunk Elephant products are AMAZING. This baby facial mask really helps to perfect my skin and help even it out. It does tingle a bit when I apply it but I kind of like it because it feels like its working. I put this mask on for like 20 minutes and any little bumps or imperfections on my skin will disappear by the morning. This face mask is pricy, I’m not going to lie to you but I think its worth it for you to give it a shot.

Sephora Collection :

I am obsessed with this mud mask! For the price, it really is a steal because it leaves my skin so bright and glowing. This mask reminds me a bit of the Supermud by GlamGlow so you might want to check this one out before you make the commitment to the Supermud. I do caution though that this one is definitely not as powerful at skin clearing as the Glam Glow mask but I literally love this mask because it does exactly what I want a mask to do. After using it my skin is left so soft and looking amazing.

Neutrogena:

Now I know that a lot of us are college kids on a budget who prefer to not break the bank on a face mask which is why I tried out this clay/cleanser mask from Neutrogena. I was seriously impressed with this mask. It does exactly what it says it will do on the package. I also love that its super affordable and you get a lot of product for the price. I also thought it was super cool that you can use this as a cleanser too because when wet it turns into a milky, creamy soap to wash off.

I am so obsessed with all of these face mask! They seriously are the best in helping to reset my skin and give it that glow that I’m looking for. Let me know if you’ve tried out any of these products in the comments below!

My Simple Skin Care Routine

June 26, 2019

I have always gotten compliments about my skin. From the even skin tone to the smooth complexion, people always ask me what I do to maintain it. My skin care routine is so simple that when I tell people they are seriously baffled. Let’s see what you think!

Step 1: Clinique Liquid Face Soap

I use this product morning and night as my primary face wash. I love it because it’s not scented and seriously cleans my skin. In the morning I’ll put a dime size amount of this product on my face brush and massage it into my skin for about a minute. At night, I’m usually super lazy and just rub this into my skin with my hands and then rinse it off. I always make sure to pat dry with a towel and not rub my face.

Step 2: Clinique Clarifying Lotion Exfoliator

This product might sound like a moisturizer but it’s not. I use it as a toner with my little cotton rounds morning and night. I love wiping my day off and actually seeing all the dirt and grossness coming off my skin. This product is pretty tough but they make a gentler one for more sensitive skin.

Step 3: Drunk Elephant Serums

It should be no surprise that the final step in my skin routine is Drunk Elephant. I use the T.L.C Framboos Serum at night and the B Hydra Serum in the morning. I seriously cannot get over how amazing these products are. I know how expensive they can be but they’re clean beauty and have seriously transformed my skin.

Other than the these 4 products, I don’t usually use anything else. On an occasion I’ll use a face mask from Sephora Collection, Glam Glow or Drunk Elephant but sometimes I find that face masks actually break me out. For break outs I love using the Mario Badescu drying lotion. Putting a small amount on a Q Tip and sleeping with it on my breakout literally helps it to reduce in size and redness over night.

Another major step in my skin routine is water. I can’t stress enough that water is key to clear, healthy skin. Seriously, if you don’t believe me then believe the results I’ve had. Drinking water is not only good for you but great for your skin. Water and these products has turned into my skin care holy grail. I very rarely find products that work as well as these do so I will never trade them! Just a reminder that drinking water is key but all skin types are different . These are only my results and may or may not be the same results you have.

My Skin Secrets

June 7, 2019

As I get older, I get more passionate about skin care. In high school I struggled with simple, hormonal breakouts but of course to me it was the end of the world. There wasn’t a day that I didn’t wear makeup, even to workout or teach a dance class because I was so insecure about my skin. Today, I rarely wear makeup, even on special occasions. People always ask me how I cleared my skin and got it to where it is now, so today I am sharing my top skin secrets with you!

Don’t Over Exfoliate

I feel like for most of us when our skin is breaking out, all we want to do is take it and scrub away all the bacteria. Now, a little exfoliation has been proven to help break away dead skin cells, too much exfoliation can strip your skin of the important oils it needs and lead to more breakouts! I noticed that once I switched from a face scrub to a more gel like cleanser, my skin immediately felt more hydrated and looked better. Exfoliation is definitely important but I recommend only about once or twice a week because you only need to strip the skin of dead skin cells and not oils that are going to help rejuvenate you. Here’s the scrub I use once a week!

Cetaphil Gentle Exfoliating Cleaner $7.99

Face Brushes are a Must Have

I was so late to hop on this train. I ended up ordering the cheapest one I could find on Amazon and immediately noticed my pores and blackheads disappearing. I like to use the most fluffy brush head that it came with and put some of my face wash on it every other morning just to really deep clean my skin. Not only do skin brushes provide deep cleansing but they also help to stimulate circulation.

Facial Cleansing Brush $18.99

Don’t Sleep In Makeup!

This tip might be common sense but its probably the hardest one to follow. Believe me, I know how hard it is to come home and take off your makeup and do your entire skin care routine but it is so important. There are so many products on the market now that basically melt your makeup right off. I love this Clinique one. While you sleep, your skin is resetting itself after a long day. You should not let your skin go to bed dirty because you’re just going to clog your pores. Even if you don’t do your full routine, keep some micellar water right next to your bed to at least take off your makeup.

Micellar Cleansing Water $5.99

What You Put in, Is What you Get Out

I think this is so crucial and honestly underrated. You can’t expect your skin to change overnight if your not nourishing your body with the nutrients it needs. Great skin comes from within and the types of foods that you’re eating. Now, this is not to say that you can’t eat that pizza or those french fries but you need to make sure that you’re eating more things that have known skin benefits than the unhealthier foods. This book called Eat Pretty is my holy grail with eating for beauty.

Eat Pretty $3.40

Water is Everything

Drink your water! If there is only one thing you do from this blog post, it has to be to drink more water. Water is so essential to your entire body’s health but for me, water is the key to my clear and beautiful skin. I like to drink at least 100 oz of water a day and I promise you, drinking water and upping your water in take will do wonders for your skin. Water really helps you to stay hydrated but also to flush out toxins. I swear that when I don’t drink enough water the day before, the next day I can immediately tell in the look of my skin.

Know Your Products

Once I decided to dive right in to skin care and actually caring for my skin, my face transformed. For a lot of us, walking into Sephora or Ulta’s skin care section is so massive that you never know where to start and then you look at the prices and are so turned off. Buying products that are natural, clean, and a little pricier are definitely worth it in my book in reassuring that I am using the best for my skin. I also think that using products within the same brand is so important as well. A lot of times, skin products are designed to be used together so its important to follow the directions. I know that Drunk Elephant is definitely a bran that works best when put together and I also think that Clinque is too!

Drunk Elephant

I hope these tricks help you in your journey to flawless skin. I know that without them, I would still be struggling with my skin. Let me know in the comments down below if you do any of these already or if you have any secrets of your own you want to share!

Sephora Collection Skin Care Review

May 31, 2019

It’s no surprise that I take my skin care very seriously. I have struggle with acne and oily skin for years until I really started to properly take care of my skin and cut out products with really harsh chemicals. When Sephora announced that they would be launching their own skin care products, I knew that I had to try them out. I decided to purchase their “The Essentials Kit” which costs $20 and comes with a clear skin gel, a hydrator and a mud mask. I also was really intrigued by their “Glow Peel Pads” which are $15 so I decided to pick them up as well.

I usually tend to stick to my usual skin care products but I did appreciate that this line of skin care is clean, affordable, and really easy to use. I applied the clear skin gel as directed and then washed it off. It left my skin feeling pretty clean but not dehydrated. Often with face washes, they are too abrasive and actually strip too much from your skin, leaving it dry and without the hydration in needs. For me, I felt my skin felt and looked great and wasn’t overly dry. I think that this product is definitely very gentle and for my combination skin, it did the job it needed to. I would rate it a 7/10.

Clear Skin Gel Cleanser

For the hydrator, I was excited to try a product with hyaluronic acid that was so affordable. Basically, hyaluronic acid is used to help keep your skin hydrated and keep with water in it. I really liked the milky consistency of this product and I feel like it really helped me to stay hydrated. I liked applying this to my face and then going out for the day because it gave me the prettiest glow. After using this product, I definitely feel like my skin is smoother and the product does what the label suggests. This product is probably a 9/10 for me!

Moving on to the last product in the essentials kit, the mud mask is probably my favorite. I hate when products take forever to try and this was so quick and easy to use. When I initially put it on it seemed like a regular mask but once I washed it off I was so pleasantly surprised. This mask left my skin soft, glowing, and I could actually see some of the bumps on my face minimized. I have not stopped thinking about this product and have used it once a week since I got it. I wish I could use it every day because I just loved the results! 10/10

I was really intrigued by the glow peel pads because I know the good results that come with chemical peels for skin. Because my skin is so sensitive, I have always been apprehensive about the harsh chemicals but when I read that this peel pads have aloe vera, peptides from marine algae, and glycolic acid from sugar cane, I was sold. After reading the directions, it does state to try and stay out of the sun because it is such a deep exfoliant so I would not suggest using this every day in the summer. I have used it a few times and have felt that my skin does seem less dull and more glowy. As we head into the summer months though, I probably won’t use this as often just because I don’t want to have to worry too much about getting really bad burns on my face. These would be a 7/10 for me.

Some products that I didn’t purchase but would like to would definitely be the eye cream, the moisturizer, and the glow serum. I didn’t purchase the entire line because I really only wanted to try out the essentials kit. Overall, this skincare line is great if you aren’t looking to spend a lot of money but want to take great care of your skin with clean products. Like seriously, just look at the prices! Everything is under $20. The packaging and the look of these products also just makes me want to keep them displayed on my bathroom shelf. I definitely will continue trying out these products because if they work as well as my super expensive ones, I might make the full switch when I run out!
