My Dance Teacher Outfit Ideas Ft. Lululemon!!

September 12, 2022

As many of you know, in addition to this blog I’m also a dance teacher! This seriously makes me an expert on dance teacher outfit ideas and Lululemon essentials. For some, Lululemon might be pricy but if you’re wearing these pieces everyday, you want them to last.

I personally finding Lululemon to be the best workout brand. I know people have their preferences but I just love their basics which I’ll share with you today. It’s essential that I’m comfy while teaching and not worrying about really anything else!

Blissful Feel Sneaker- Shop Here

I’ve had my eye on these sneakers since they came out. I am not a runner but I’m looking for a good supportive but comfy shoe for the studio. These are honestly just that. They come in so many different color combos so you can really wear what you love.

I will admit I did purchase these with a gift card so I’m not sure if the price tag is worth it on them yet, but so far I do really like them and have been dancing in them for about 2 months now.

Fast and Free High Rise Leggings- Shop Here

These leggings are like my top essential. I love them and can’t say enough good things about them. One struggle I usually have with leggings is keeping them up but these seriously do the job and you don’t have to worry about them at all. The cut of these is also super flattering and I always get compliments on how good these just suck you in.

Energy Bra- Shop Here

I truly don’t think I’ll ever wear another type of sports bra. This is it for me, like I don’t need to ever get another kind of bra. It is perfectly supportive for my c cup chest. I can dance and move freely and don’t have any issues at all. This is like a must get.

Define Jacket- Shop Here

As we head into the colder months, I wanted to make sure I mentioned my go to jacket. We do receive team jackets at work with the logo but I love this for more of an everyday wear. You need something to keep you warm but also be able to move in. This material is so stretchy and seriously the go to on a cold morning.

Love Crew T- Shirt- Shop Here

A good t-shirt is like the ultimate find. This is one of my favorite workout tops of all time. I really love the cut of it and the material. So often today workout tops are cropped and I just don’t love that when I’m working with my really little kids. This is a good, normal length tee for everyday.

And there you have it, an entire outfit for dance teacher outfit ideas! I love Lululemon and seriously believe everything I just shared is so worth it. It’s essential to look good but also just be able to move in all sorts of ways when teaching and these do just that.

Let me know if you need any help with sizing because I most of the time do size down except for jackets & sweatshirts, I size up. If you liked this post, check out this other haul from a few months ago! Also, be sure to follow me on Pinterest since I’m really ramping up the posts there!

My Workout Routine that I Actually Do

August 29, 2022

If you’ve been here awhile, you know I love Melissa Wood Health! Her program has seriously evolved into a workout routine for me that I actually do every day! I figured I would share my current routine using her methods so you can see how great it is too!

My previous blog post was all about meditation and I think the reason I love MWH is because it pairs a workout with mindfulness. Almost every flow has some breath work associated with it either before or after which just elevates the whole experience.

My Routine

I really like to workout at least 5 days a week. Usually it’s Monday- Friday for me but if I miss one of those days I like to incorporate a weekend day in too. I’ve found that these flows are so gentle on my body that I actually want to do them everyday because they help to stretch me out and keep my body feeling good.

Most of the time I follow her weekly workout guide but sometimes I like to throw in something I’m feeling. I love the standing series she does because they remind me of the ballet barre. It is such a good all over workout that I can do anytime/anywhere because I don’t need equipment other than a stable surface.

She breaks down the week into a different body part each day which leaves you with a great all over workout each week! I also find that I’m not really run down because I’m not doing the same workout everyday for a month. Each day is so different which keeps it exciting.

The best part of these workouts is the time. Some are over 20 but most are under 20 and that’s something I can commit to. Most of us don’t want to spend hours working out so getting something in that’s quick but effective is life changing for me!

I hope you enjoyed this post about my workout routine! I seriously love the MWH method and it has transformed how I look at working out. A little goes a long way and it’s more about consistency than anything else!

Be sure to subscribe here to the blog so you don’t miss any posts this fall!

My Melissa Wood Health Review

August 17, 2020

For me, working out never was that fun. I never really found anything that really spoke to me or made me feel as great as everyone says you’ll feel. A real spark came when I discovered the Melissa Wood Health method and her app. Her workouts became game changing for me and inspired a whole new perspective on working out and getting in movement each day.

One thing that initially drove me to try her workouts was finding her on Instagram. She had a 10 minute video and after doing it, I was so freaking sore! I never felt that kind of soreness before from other workouts so I knew I was on the right track. She does a mix of pilates and yoga flows which always uses every muscle in your body. I leave each workout feeling like I used and toned my entire body, not just one area.

I also love the convience of her workouts. She often talks about how important movement is each day, even if its just a few minutes. When I started her workouts, I didn’t believe that but now I’m doing her flows at least once everyday, sometimes even twice. Melissa has the calmest voice and is so encouraging during the tough workouts.

On the app, all of her flows state the length directly on them so it makes it so easy for me to fit something in everyday. I have no excuses when she has something that’s only 8 minutes and is seriously killer. Her method really changed my entire perspective because I can get in something simple each day but take out something that will better me. I swear I have never looked at a workout routine like that before ever.

The Melissa Wood Health method talks about mind and body , which I have absolutely noticed a difference in myself. The app is only $100 for the entire year (what a deal) and she posts her weekly workout schedule on her website www.melissawoodhealth.com in case you want to follow along. I generally just choose whatever I’m feeling that day or base it on time.

Whether you’re looking for beginner workouts or challenging yoga and pilates flows, this app has it all. I highly recommend checking it out for the 7 day free trial because I am so sure that you will become as obsessed as I am.
