Jordan purchased one of these earlier in the season and really loved it! I decided to get a second one for him for Christmas because it’s one he always wears. The material is SO cozy and its warm, but light weight that you’re not sweating in it. It’s great for the gym or to just wear around as athleisure.

The one thing on Jordan’s list this year was shoes. He usually liked whatever I pick out for him and I previously purchase him a neutral pair of nikes so when I saw these new balances I fell in love. Jordan loves a good pair of sneakers and these look so cozy and the colors will just match everything.

Who doesn’t love a gift card, especially when they’re to all your favorite places? Jordan loves ordering out so Door Dash was a no brainer. I also did a few cards to other places for him like Home Depot, Amazon and Dunkin. I love doing like $20 to a few stores for gift cards because then they get a few bucks to go all around to their favorite places.

My Favorite Water Bottles!

With so many water bottles on the market, I wanted to share my absolute favorites! I drink over 100 oz of water a day so I like to think I am an expert on reusable water bottles! My favorite water bottles are ones that can hold a lot of water and also can keep your water cold all day!

My Stanely has become my everyday house water bottle. It’s so big that I just fill it up like 3 times a day and I get all my water in. I don’t love to take it out because it’s kind of bulky due to the handle. But the handle really makes it so I wouldn’t just get rid of it if that makes sense!

This is my I’m going to be out all day water bottle. It’s easy to throw in a bag or just take on the go because it’s just a little sleeker than the Stanley. I’ve had my hydro flask for literally years and It’s still going strong. I do swap out my straws every few months just to keep everything extra clean.

My Simply modern water bottle is literally my errands and out and about water. I take this to work, a workout class, or when I’m in and out of stores shopping. It’s small so it’s easy to go out with and I love it. It’s also great when I’m washing my stanley to have this as my back up.

As you can see, I literally have a water for every part of my day. This list here is really my favorite water bottles ever and I truly use them all the time. It’s so important to get your water in and having these just makes it easier!

January Amazon Essentials!

Last year I shared my Best Amazon Purchases and you loved that post! This year I’m going to try to share my Amazon essentials each month so you get my real time favorites! These will be shorter posts only because I’m hopefully not going crazy on Amazon!

I love watching videos and reading blogs like this because I am a sucker for product recommendations. Any time I see something kind of cool, I instantly become obsessed and need it! This month I really prioritized health with these Amazon essentials!

Hatch Restore Alarm

I’ve been using this for a solid 3 weeks now and seriously love it! I love to fall asleep to the sound of the rain. I like that it’s also a night light because it seriously changes the game for reading! I love using the red light to wind down or the warm white light to read. It’s also great because you can schedule your bedtime so it’s always on when you need it and can go off on its own!

I also fell in love with the wake up feature! First the bright light starts and then you get a gently sound slowly getting louder. It is so magical and makes you wakeup in the best mood. I’m really not sure how but I swear this adds to my morning mood being better and I just have been sleeping so well.

One down side is I’ve found the buttons on it are super sensitive. I feel like I have to click it a few times to get it to do what I want. Since at night I really don’t want to be on my phone, I wish the Hatch itself was easier to use than having to open the App!

Essential Oil Diffuser

I have always wanted a diffuser but with Sky I am very careful about the stuff I put in the air because dogs are so sensitive. I did some research and do feel comfortable diffusing lavender a little at a time. This diffuser is great because I love to just do the 30 minute version.

It gets my room smelling so good and I swear it really helps you relax. Lavender is also good to help pets relax too so I feel like even Sky is benefiting from it. I just ordered the essential oil right off of Amazon too and it has a dropper. This seriously just adds to the vibe and keeps you relaxed and cozy!

I also got this for the new year because I really want to prioritize getting my greens in. I find that I’m someone who usually goes for the carbs and proteins but usually forgets the greens. I like taking this right after my Seed probiotic and then I’ll have a chai or breakfast.

I am someone with a really sensitive stomach so I get nervous when I take anything that says digestion but I have so far really like this. It’s easy to just add to some water and get on with my day. I know I’m getting in so many good stuff so It honestly just helps me to make better food choices throughout the day. I definitely want to try to get my hands on the mango one when I run out of this because I hear it’s so good!

My 2023 New Year’s Resolution!!

I can hardly believe another year has passed and I’m writing out new year’s resolution! It’s crazy how quickly the years go by and how fast we get to the next one. This year I wanted to share my new year’s resolution in a different way.

Instead of picking multiple things, I just wanted to choose a word that everything falls under. I started this last year with the word wellness and I truly think I got to live that word out. This year I’m doing the same because I feel like sometimes resolutions can be too limiting and put too much pressure on yourselves.

Patience

Now people always say patience is a virtue but I feel like a lot of my anxiety comes from jumping to the next thing or next worry. I want to really slow down in 2023 and try to get everything back in check.

In the times we live in we can really just feel out of control a lot. Life flies by us and if we’re not moving as fast as everyone we feel like we’re missing out or not doing something right. For me, I want to try to break this habit next year.

A slower lifestyle and mindset doesn’t put me behind others, if anything it’ll set me up for success because I’ll be able to make decisions based on thinking things through. I want to be so intentional with my time so I think having patience will help with that.

One other aspect of patience is with purchases. We live in a world where it’s so easy to order exactly what we want and have it delivered right away. Financially, you can only do that for so long so I just know being patient and thinking through purchases on clothes and other non-necessities will boost my finances as well.

As you can see, choosing one word that encompasses your mood instead of a resolution changes your mindset. I never followed through on resolutions because they always felt like too many unattainable goals. With choosing a word to live by, you can find it in all areas of your life and mold it to how you’re feeling.

I have had this steamer for years and I cannot live without it! I love to steam my face to open my pores and really get the products in there. I can’t say enough good things about this Vanity Planet one in particular. I had purchased a cheap one from Amazon but it just got gross so fast. This one is such great quality and I’ve had for like 2 years now!

I feel like people are super passionate about the ice rollers that they like. I personally love this one from Amazon because I find it actually stays cool for long. This is essential to de-puff your face in the morning and honestly it’s even good in the summer to help you stay cool!

This is probably my favorite device. It’s similar to a roller but has batteries so it can vibrate. I swear this actually does help to sculpt out your face if you actually use it consistently. Hailey Bieber mentioned it in one of her videos so I knew it was a must purchase and I was not disappointed.

My Favorite Products from December!

I feel like I am constantly sharing products and reviewing them so I decided along with my monthly book review, I would have another bonus post! This post is dedicated to all the favorite products I had from the month before!

December was a busy month and I had some products that I really could not live without. They seriously got me through the busiest month between content, work, dance and just life. Simply Modern Tumbler- Shop Here

I’m probably late to this party but I cannot life without this cup. It keeps my cold drinks cold and the sleek design is a serious plus. I had the pink and blue ombré and asked for the black for Christmas. Between the both of them I am set for this next year.

I think one thing I have with reusable water bottles is they aren’t always chic and cute. They’re often just bulky and too gaudy but I love everything from this brand. They also make a similar size to the hydroflask that I have but I prefer this one since it fits in a cup holder.

Day Designer Deluxe Weekly Planner- Shop Here

Okay this was a literal fail on my end. I’ve actually had this planner since June but didn’t realize how great it actually was until now. I use a weekly planner as opposed to a daily planner because I don’t need to have my entire day fully planned.

However, on a Monday when I am off from teaching, I do like to maximize my time and plan out the day. I realized that in addition to being an amazing weekly planner, in the back there’s sheets of their amazing day planner that you can use. I fill it out on Mondays and it keeps me so organized for the whole week.

I’ve had this blanket since the end of the summer but didn’t realize just how great it was until the weather got cooler. This is my go to throw because of how plush it is. I had another very expensive and luxury brand blanket but it doesn’t compare to this after washing.

I’ve washed this blanket a few times since it’s white and I have a dog and I realized it really holds up. It is just as soft as it was when I first got it. It also is easy to clean and get stains out of which is super important since it’s white.

I’m sorry in advance for this one because it’s probably still sold out. I had to mention it though because this sweatshirt has become my life. I’m a dance teacher so I’m always in athleisure. These sweatshirts are so flattering but also easy to move in.

Sometimes I just want to be comfy and cozy but not in a huge sweatshirt. These are cut so well that they give you that vibe but are easy to dance in. I have both the 1/4 zip and the full zip and I literally love both equally. They both seriously get the job done.

Slip Silk Scrunchies- Shop Here

I feel like because I’m a dancer, I know scrunchies and hair ties best. These thin scrunchies from Slip are literally insane. They seriously hold your hair but don’t damage it. I am literally never going back to the rubber band ones.

I found that my hair was breaking so much and once I started using these, my hair was able to relax a bit but still be up and pulled back securely. That of course is key when you’re dancing for multiple hours a day.

I would swear by these favorite products because they are all just that great. These are things that I reached for multiple times this month and they’ve really held up. I think my top two would be the planner, it kept all the dates for me, and the scrunchies because I could teach in them.

Must Have Amazon Workout Finds

As many of you know, I am probably Lululemon’s biggest fan. I love their workout pieces and accessories but don’t like their prices. I’ve made it my life’s new mission to find workout wear as cute and as durable as Lululemon at a better price. Shockingly enough, Amazon workouts finds are actually amazing. I’ve put together my list my must have amazon workout finds just for you!

Cropped Workout Tanks

These tanks are amazing! They are cropped but they actually hit the top of my high waisted leggings. I love the fit and they have a built in bra so this top is all you need for a workout. I generally wear a size small to medium in tops but I sized up to large for these. Also as you can see they are two different styles but I love both. The pink thicker strap is great for a more high impact workout and I love to just lounge in the white thinner strap. You can shop the white one here and the pink one here!

CRZ Yoga Pants

I initially purchased these to be a dupe of my align leggings. They are definitely different material but I almost like them more. I usually get pretty stressed to wear my Aligns because of the material and the piling, no matter what I do. These leggings are a little more of a workout material and they fit so well. I would size down in these. I usually and did order myself a small but I feel like I could have gotten an extra small because they do pull down a bit at the top. You can shop them here!

Biker Shorts

I have such short legs that most bike shorts look weird on me. I love these from Amazon because they come in a bunch of different lengths.. with pockets! They are so great for a workout or to just lounge in which is so important to me. I’m 5’3 and have the 5 inch version. It hits me mid thigh, right where I would want my short to hit so that my leg still is elongated. You can shop them here!

Cropped Zip Up

This zip up was a serious game changer. I don’t like when they are too thin and can’t hold up their shape. This one is thicker and is so well fitted. I sized up to a large for this one and I’m glad I did because it’s just the slightest bit oversized and I love it. It’s perfect to transition to spring/summer in or wear to the gym. Foam Roller

When the pandemic started, I really turned to Amazon to start getting the things I needed for my workout. I got this foam roller thinking it was a smaller one but I am actually okay with how giant it is. It really helps to roll out and stretch my entire body and was well priced for the size. This one is 36 inches and can be shopped here!

Bangle Ankle Weights

If you do any type of pilates like workouts, like Melissa Wood Health, then you know how expensive and hard to find these bangles were. I was so excited to find them on Amazon but had to wait literally 3 months for them to come back in stock. Now they are so easy to find and come in the cutest colors. Unfortunately the exact ones I have are sold out but I linked another brand here that looks similar.

Resistance Bands

One of my favorite Amazon workout finds are my resistance bands. They not only are the cutest colors but they were so affordable and come in this great bag to keep them organized. You can shop them here!

As you can see, I actually have a lot from Amazon. They have some really great pieces for great prices. One thing I will admit is a lot of these that I tried have come from recommendations. As soon as I see someone talking about a product, I put it in my cart and check out!

My Best and Worst Amazon Purchases

We’ve all made some questionable Amazon purchases in our lifetime however this year I made many. Online shopping became a serious addiction of mine during the height of the pandemic, especially on Amazon. I’ve decided to share some of those purchases with you and rate them so you won’t make the same mistakes I did. Don’t get me wrong, some of these purchases were definitely worth it but others, not so much. Here are my best and worst Amazon Purchases from 2020!

Let’s start off strong with some of my Best Purchases of 2020!

Amazon Kindle

My Kindle has changed the game for me. I have seriously taken up reading but the books were starting to turn into clutter. My Kindle lets me read unlimited books and not have to worry about having a place for them. I also like some of the perks of Amazon like free books with your Prime membership which makes reading that much more affordable.

Ugg Slippers

I purchased these on Amazon because I wanted them fast and to be able to try on different sizes. I’m glad I did because as with any Ugg product, you have to size down. These slippers are great because they have a harder sole that you can actually wear out but still get to have the comfort of slippers.

Simply Modern Water Bottle

This water bottle is everything! First of all, it’s half the price of a hydroflask which already makes it better. I also love it for all the different lid attachments that Simply Modern sells. Personally, I don’t like straws so I have like a chug lid and it is great. It is also sleek but is 40 oz so I know I’m drinking enough water everyday.

Face Steamer

I am obsessed with my face steamer. It is great to use once every other week and I have seriously seen great results with it. I was happy to purchase it on Amazon because I felt like I had so many options to choose from and the price points were all affordable.

And now on to my Worst Purchases of 2020!

Nintendo Switch

I thought this would have been my best purchase of the year but boy was I wrong. Unfortunately, I haven’t picked this up in months and I absolutely regret purchasing it. I think that I got it during the height of the pandemic and did use it often but now it just sits in its case, not being used.

Treadmill

This was definitely another pandemic purchase that got use but now sits idle. I think part of the reason is it doesn’t really have it’s own place in my house. Most of the time it stays folded up which makes me less motivated to use it because I have to drag it out and unfold it to use it.

Insta Pot

I was using this Insta Pot literally every day or every few days during the summer. I made rice and breads but now I barely touch it. This was something that I definitely I used way to often and just got tired of it. I think it is good to have on hand but it is kind of annoying because of how big and bulky it is.

Mini Humidifier

My mini humidifier I purchased is not nearly as powerful as it said it was. I got it for during the day when I didn’t want to put on my big one but it doesn’t do anything. This was a wasteful purchase because it now just sits in my drawer because I feel bad throwing it out.

These purchases definitely reflect the wild year that we had. I was all over the place with my purchases and I absolutely regret some of those worst purchases. DIY Powder Gel: Does it Work?

I have been getting my nails done religiously for years but because of COVID, it stopped me in my tracks. I love a good powder gel mani but does the DIY powder gel you can buy off of Amazon cut it? Well lucky for you I tried it out and I’m going to give you my honest review of DIY powder gel.

After doing some research, I ended up purchasing this kit on Amazon for $39.99. This kit pretty much came with everything I needed like the colors, the polishes and even a fluffy duster brush. I already had a cuticle cutter, a buffer square and also a cuticle pusher thing. I found all of those to be really helpful to have on hand and suggest you grab too!

This kit came with really nice instructions which made it easy to use. I started off filing my nails and then cleaning up the cuticles. The instructions said to make sure to buff them out so that there was no shininess and then you were good to go. I applied everything just as the directions said but I realized a huge key to doing this myself was realizing you have to go light on the powder and let it completely dry. I noticed at the end I had to do a lot of filing which I probably could have avoided knowing my tip before hand.

Overall, I think this could be game changing. One of my main issues with going into the nail salon is just how long it takes. I can be sitting there for hours and that’s something that I can’t stand. Doing it at home takes just as long, but I can multitask and get work done. Also, with COVID I think for now this is just something that I would rather do for health reasons. Not to mention, this is way cheaper as well.
