4 Years of My Blog!

As I sit down to write this, I can hardly believe it’s been 4 years of my blog. My very first post was shared on May 15th, 2019 and it’s crazy that this much time has gone by. I thought we should walk down memory lane and I’d share some of my favorite posts from my 4 years!

This post makes me laugh because I truly didn’t know anything about blogging. It was a random day I decided to purchase a domain and a wordpress subscription and just started writing. I wasn’t expecting much out of it but these past 4 years have been such a wild ride!

My Dyson Air Wrap Review

Talk about a random post to do so well! I wasn’t really expecting this post to be as successful as it was. I’ve even done a few others similar that have done well too. This is really where I realized people value honest opinions on items you purchased with your own money and it shifted the content I create!

Least Viewed Post

My Greek Salad Bowl

This is least viewed because it’s like one of the newer ones. Go give it some love because this bowl is SO good! I love creating and sharing recipes like this. I never would have thought that cooking would become such a huge part of my content and blog!!

My Favorite Post

Best Books to Read for 2023

This was so hard to choose but I’m just really proud of this post. Last year I created a monthly book club for the blog that has evolved into almost 2 book reviews a month consistently. This post is all about the books I read in 2022 and my recs for the new year. It’s a staple post when people ask what books I recommend!

I hope you loved this walk down memory lane with me. Having a blog is hard because so often we see the world switching to video content so I’m always trying to “fit in” with what’s trending. Blogging has taught me so much about all aspects of life and myself and I’ve had so much fun so far.

There have been many times over these 4 years that I’ve felt like I should just give up but I remember this amazing community we’ve created and how much I love what I do! Here’s to my first 4 years of my blog and to many more!

Beauty Tools that You Need Right Now!

This month’s bonus post is short and sweet. I’m sharing my top 3 favorite beauty tools that you seriously need in your regime. I think tools are almost better than products in some cases because they just enhance that spa vibe.

I have had this steamer for years and I cannot live without it! I love to steam my face to open my pores and really get the products in there. I can’t say enough good things about this Vanity Planet one in particular. I had purchased a cheap one from Amazon but it just got gross so fast. This one is such great quality and I’ve had for like 2 years now!

I feel like people are super passionate about the ice rollers that they like. I personally love this one from Amazon because I find it actually stays cool for long. This is essential to de-puff your face in the morning and honestly it’s even good in the summer to help you stay cool!

Sculpting Bar- Click Here

This is probably my favorite device. It’s similar to a roller but has batteries so it can vibrate. I swear this actually does help to sculpt out your face if you actually use it consistently. Hailey Bieber mentioned it in one of her videos so I knew it was a must purchase and I was not disappointed.

My Favorite Glowy Face Makeup Products

We all are after that summer glow and today I am sharing some of my favorite products to achieve it. These glowly makeup products are my go to for summer when I want some coverage and a nice glow. If you know me, I rarely wear heavy makeup but the way this brand makes my skin look is like no other!

Step 1: Skin Care

The most important step is skin care because it will really enhance your glowy makeup products. I recently shared my skin care routine here, so be sure to check that out to find out how I prep my skin for products.

Step 2: Foundation

I almost never use a makeup primer so if that is important to you, definitely add that before you jump into this step. My go to foundation lately has been the Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation. This is honestly the perfect coverage for me. It is definitely buildable so you can start out light and then go as heavy as you need. I love how this makes my skin look. It is even and has a nice, subtle glow.

Step 3: Concealer

I don’t go far without my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer. This literally has been my go to for years and I just don’t think I would stop. It conceals and brightens to give you the most flawless look. I even wear just this sometimes when I’m going for that no makeup, makeup look.

Step 4: Bronzer

I’m a huge Hula Bronzer girl. I feel like bronzer can sometimes be tough because some bronzers have an ash tone and others are a bit warmer. For me, this is the perfect shade for summer and even year round. I also like a powder bronzer because I feel like it’s lighter on my skin and doesn’t sweat off!

Step 5: Highlighter

Run don’t walk to get this Rare Beauty Liquid Highlighter. I have mine in the color enlighten and omg it is amazing. This gives me the most perfect glow wherever I put it. I love this product because you can put a little or a lot, it is buildable and gives you room to get the glow you want. This product is the key to my summer glowy makeup look.

Step 6: Blush

This is another one from Rare Beauty. Their soft pinch liquid blush made me like blush. I have it in the color joy and am seriously obsessed. I was one to just skip over blush but this changed my life and my glowy makeup routine. This product is everything and more for me. I love how it pairs so well on the check with my highlight and bronzer.

Obviously I do sometimes go in with a lip gloss and use my bronzer in my eye creases for color. I like to keep it very minimal in the summer because sometimes I just can’t handle things on my face.
