Honest Review of Victoria’s Secret

After ditching this brand for a bit, I recently made a purchase and figured I would share an Honest Review of Victoria’s Secret! I was interested to see if the quality lived up to what I remembered. I even had some of those coupon cards they used to give out.

It definitely was nostalgic purchasing from them and I really was impressed with what they offered. I liked the gender neutral Pink line. The website stuff looked great but I was excited to get the stuff in and try it on. The links below are affiliate links so I do make a small commission if you purchase!

Cotton Oversized Sleep Shirt

I have a few of these older tees and I was excited to get this new one. It might even exceed the softness of the original I have and I really love this lilac color. I sized up to XL because I love an oversized shirt and it’s still a little short. I would say this is more of a boxy tee but I still love it.

Modal Short Pajama Set

I’m a sucker for a pajama set and this one is pretty iconic. I love that it’s short sleeve because it’ll be great as the weather gets warmer. The quality of this is great too. It’s buttery soft and I got a S. Definitely fits exactly how I would want it to! These sets are pricy but I feel like you have pajamas for years so with a coupon it makes these worth it.

Cotton Foldover Flare Leggings

This is where the quality went south. I loved my yoga pants from Pink. These, I do not love. They material is a cotton blend and they’re definitely see through. The old ones I had were like a buttery soft material and these are a bit scratchy. The cut is still the same but the quality and material is definitely not what I remember.

Victoria’s Secret is definitely a hit or miss for me now. I can see why I slowly stopped shopping there because not all their pieces lived up to the price and brand. With their coupons it makes the pieces affordable but I can’t say I would shop their full price again.

I did end up keeping the yoga pants and have worn them, but they just aren’t like the originals. I hope you liked this honest review of Victoria’s Secret and let me know any other brands I should review!

Spring Lululemon Haul!

I recently shared about my new found love for Set Active but I knew I still needed to share my spring Lululemon haul! Lululemon is my tried and true brand and I was excited to get my hands on some of their new pieces.

This haul definitely has some new favorites but also some definite misses. I love that they are trying to keep up with the trends but they definitely could’ve executed it better. As always these are affiliate links where I make a small commission but there is no pressure to purchase!

V-Waist Aligns

I was really wowed by these new align cuts. I went with the 25 inch inseam and they hit right at my ankles. Love how these make me look and feel. I will say because they cut right below your belly button I was trying to pull them up. With time, I will definitely get used to them though. These to me are the basic aligns that are just elevated and more flattering.

These were a huge disappoint for me. I was so excited because I have the full length version but since I’m short they’re so long. Getting these I thought was the solution to my problems but this was definitely not it. They cut off at a weird spot and they’re barely flared. It’s like a boot cut legging as opposed to a flare yoga pant so these are just a no from me.

I love this color blue! I also like how light weight this crew neck is. It’s going to be a really great transition piece for spring! The material is a little weird but I think I can get past it with just how cute it is. This is a crop so I got it in a 6 and it hits perfectly at my waist so teaching is still doable.

These new pieces are just what I needed to add into my spring Lululemon haul. I’m excited to rotate in these pieces to my active wear collection. Lululemon is truly a go to brand of mine!

My Set Active Review & Haul!

If you know anything about me I am a tried and true Lululemon fan. Being a dancer and teaching dance has made me truly try all the workout brands out there. There’s nothing I love more than Lululemon however I was in the market for more basics and.. seamless leggings from this Set Active review!

Some of my favorite pieces from Lululemon is their leggings. As you can tell from this post here, I wear them all the time but Set Active recently caught my eye. I have been seeing Tik Toks everywhere and wanted to give them a go. I got mainly basic pieces that I can rotate in and let me tell you, I was not disappointed with this Set Active Review!

Sculptflex Leggings- Onyx size S

These leggings were the reason I decided to place an order. I love that they are seamless but super supportive. There’s nothing I hate more than baggy leggings when I’m teaching. These hug you in and give you a lot of support.

I also think they’re super flattering. The thick waistband really hugs you in and gives you a little more shape than regular leggings would. I did get these in a size Small and they do fit but are a little snug. I didn’t want to exchange them because I know over time leggings lose their elasticity and then don’t fit the right way.

I will keep you posted on these as I continue to wear them!

Mid Tee- Onyx Size M

The website calls this their ultimate everyday tee and I agree! I sized up in this because I wanted to make sure it wasn’t too cropped and it hits me perfectly.

I love the thickness of this material as well. It’s really high quality and I feel like could be worn in studio or even out to dinner. I already have two more of these in my cart and know they’re going to be a staple in my teaching wadrobe.

Form Tank- Onyx Size S

This tank is sooooo form fitting! I love how it looks on! You can scrunch it up and wear it cropped or pull it down and wear it at regular length. I also am planning on getting another tank or too because these are going to be great for summer classes!

The material is so breathable and thin but not see through. I really can’t tell you how many tanks I’ve tried that are either too thick and hot or too thin and cheap feeling. This is exactly what I was looking for!

Sport Body Scoop Bra- Onyx Size S

This is the only product I didn’t love. I purchased this more to wear at home but it’s not amazing. It’s cute and fits well but for the priced you can definitely get something cheaper at another store.

I was able to get mine in a limited addition hot pink color so it’s really cute but honestly not something I would recommend you get right now.

Top Swimsuit Brands 2021

Happy June! I have been hard at work ordering all types of bathing suits from different brands in order to share with you my top swimsuit brands of 2021. I am so excited that it is finally getting into the summer months so what better way to kick off summer content than with a swimsuit haul.

Last summer I realized I’m at the age where I need to maybe wear a bit more coverage bathing suits. As I’m getting older, I’m also changing my style so this haul is for those mid twenties gals. I found some brands I seriously love so keep reading to find my favorites.

Aerie

I feel in love with Aerie this past year so I was so excited to try out their swim wear. Let me tell you, Aerie has absolutely become my top swimsuit brands 2021. They make swim look cute but that is also comfortable and fuller coverage. I found their swim to be really affordable as well for the quality that you are paying for. If you haven’t tried Aerie before, I would definitely try now! You can shop these bottoms here.

Amazon

This seemed counter productive to me to order swim online but Amazon definitely has some good gems. I would worn that a lot of what I ordered ended up being see through or really cheap material but I wouldn’t have known unless I tried. I think Amazon is great for cheaper pieces that you want to cycle in with your more quality swim. You can shop this swim suit here.

Victoria’s Secret

VS had been my go to for so long but I fell out of love with them for a bit. I have made my way back to them and I am so glad I did because their newer swim pieces are great. Similar to Aerie, the quality is great and the prices aren’t crazy. Also, with the coupons and sales it really makes this swim line affordable! You can shop this suit here.

Target

I actually didn’t purchase any new swim from Target but I did want to mention them. I love the Target swim for it’s affordability and inclusivity. They seriously have a great line with pieces for all body types. I also like how they have different tops and bottoms in the same color so you can really mix and match. I love that when building a swim wardrobe because it helps to keep it diverse. Shop a similar suit here.

Zaful

This is another brand I was iffy on but ended up finding great pieces. I like cheaper swimwear when I’m just hanging at home doing stuff so that if it get’s ruined I’m not heart broken. Zaful does have some see through pieces so you do have to be careful but overall it is cheap and not too bad. Shop this suit here!

My Spring Clothing Haul 2021

I feel like I haven’t purchased new clothes since last year this time. This spring clothing haul is probably the first time since March of last year that I purchased normal clothes, not just sweats and loungewear. I am so excited for the weather to get warmer and I thought I would share some of the pieces I’ve collected so far for spring 2021. Spring is the perfect time to experiment with new looks and styles because it’s not too hot or too cold. You can really go either way with whatever look you choose!

Matching Set

This matching set from Good Tuesday is the perfect two piece set for spring. It came with a bralette and the matching bike shorts in this pretty blue color. As many of you know, I am definitely a neutrals gal but I found this to be the perfect pop of pattern and color for spring. This is sold out on their website but there are a lot of other cute pieces for spring. I personally love their bralettes too!

Athleisure

This next outfit is a full Amazon fit. I’m really into the althleisure look for spring and Amazon has some great pieces that are affordable. This cropped sweatshirt was only $29.99 and comes in so many colors. Perfect to throw on over a sports bra or a tank top and head out for the day. Good Jeans

If you know me, you know jean shorts usually aren’t it for me. I made it my mission to find myself shorts this season that fit well and are comfortable. These are the mom high rise shorts from American Eagle. I am literally obsessed with their curvy line. I cannot begin to tell you how great it is that they make denim that is snug at my waist but has enough room at my thighs. If you haven’t tried AE before, run don’t walk to get your hands on these shorts!

Nicer Tops

Sticking with American Eagle, I wanted to start building up my nicer shirts. I felt like I gave up on wearing fancier tops last year but I knew when I saw these that they were perfect. I love the simplicity of the cream one and the pop of color and fun of the pink. Both are basics but are fun to incorporate and style this spring.

Accessorize

The final piece that I wanted in my spring clothing haul were baseball hats. I wore a beanie most of the winter so finding a good baseball cap was at the top of my spring accessory list. This one I found from Lululemon. I love the pale pastel pink and think it will look great with an all black look.

When shopping for this spring clothing haul, I wasn’t trying to redo my wardrobe but I wanted pieces to ease myself back in to wearing real outfits. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not giving up my sweats but I am so looking forward to having places to go and putting together real outfits again.
